Sibsey and Brothertoft Groups

Two medieval churches separated by just a couple of miles of Lincolnshire fenland, each with enough character to justify the detour from Boston. They're working parish churches in a landscape that hasn't changed dramatically since the Middle Ages.

History enthusiasts and serious walkers will find this worthwhile. You could combine both in an afternoon ramble, though don't expect crowds or visitor facilities. Access should be fine - these are functioning churches - but check locally as opening times vary. The fenland setting itself is the attraction as much as the buildings.
