Semley Hill

The walk up Semley Hill rewards you with proper views across the Dorset countryside, though you'll need decent legs and a bit of determination. Serious walkers will appreciate the leg work; families with younger kids might find the slog a bit much for the payoff, unless they're naturally outdoorsy types. You're looking at a couple of hours round trip from Semley village, depending on pace and whether you pause to admire the views. The path is public access, so free to use and open year-round.
