Runkerry Stand (Bushfoot)

The whole stretch rewards a proper wander - the rock pools are genuinely good, and the columns create natural alcoves that kids find endlessly entertaining for building camps and hunting for crabs. Allow two to three hours if you're the type to linger, or an hour if you just want the headline views and a few photographs. Come when the tide's out - it makes all the difference - and bring a map because navigation off the main beach paths isn't always obvious. The drive from Bushmills takes barely ten minutes.
