Run Free Dog Fields - Inverurie

A sprawling off-lead space just outside Inverurie where dogs can properly stretch their legs without a lead in sight. It's exactly what it says - fields, open and fenced, designed so your dog can run flat out while you stand around looking relieved. No buildings, no facilities to speak of, just grass and the occasional muddy patch depending on the season.

If you're staying at Hillhead Caravan Park or Glamping Bothie nearby, this is genuinely useful. Dog-heavy families will appreciate the space; if your terrier's been cooped up in a holiday park for a few days, an hour here burns proper energy. The walk from the car is short, so even restless kids won't complain before arriving. Fair warning though - it's functional rather than scenic. You're not getting views or woodland rambles, just fields. That said, on a decent day it's a solid forty minutes of freedom for a dog that needs it.

Best visited early morning or late afternoon when it's quieter and the ground's firmer. Bring a bag for waste - it's not fancy but it's not abandoned either. Free access, no time limits that we could find. Worth building into a park holiday if you've got a dog that needs space, but don't expect anything more than that.
