The actual stone workings are still visible in the walls, which gives the whole thing an industrial edge that most galleries completely lack. The setting itself is the real draw. Walking around with raw quarry stone overhead changes how you experience the work - there's something about that industrial backdrop that either really enhances the pieces or makes them feel a bit small, depending on what's on. Particularly good for a quiet Tuesday when you might have the place almost to yourself.

Honestly, it works best if you're already interested in contemporary art rather than if you're looking for something to kill time. Kids under about twelve will probably get bored within twenty minutes, but teenagers with any artistic leanings might actually engage with it.
