Pluck Close

Pluck Close is a modest woodland patch just east of Hunstanton - the sort of place locals know about but most visitors drive straight past. It's Norfolk forest as it actually is: dense, a bit overgrown, proper peaceful. You're looking at mature trees, woodland floor thick with leaf litter, and the kind of quiet that makes you realise how little of it exists round these parts anymore.

There's no visitor centre or tea room. No marked trails that I could find, though you can pick your way through. It's free to access and takes as long as you want - twenty minutes of wandering or a couple of hours if you're the type to sit on a log and just listen. Dog walkers and anyone after a break from the coast get proper value here. Families with young children might find it a bit dull unless they're into den-building and spotting woodland creatures.

The real draw is how it slots into a Hunstanton week. You've got holiday parks within spitting distance - Manor Park and Searles Leisure Resort are both under two miles away - so it's genuinely useful as a morning walk before heading to the beach or the amusements. The Norfolk coast gets relentlessly busy in summer, so having somewhere this quiet and free thirty seconds from your caravan is worth knowing about. Don't expect drama. Just expect to decompress.
