Pittencrieff Park

The moment you walk through the gates into Pittencrieff Park, you're swallowed by something quietly proper - mature woodland, open meadows, and a real sense of space that you don't expect to find so close to Dunfermline town centre. This is Fife at its best: a nature reserve where locals come to actually walk, not just mill about taking photos.

There's decent woodland to explore, with paths that meander through the grounds at a sensible pace. You'll find open grassy areas perfect for spreading out with a picnic, ponds that attract wildlife, and enough variety to keep you occupied for a good couple of hours without feeling like you're overdoing it.
