People’s Park

People's Park sits right on Cleethorpes' doorstep, a proper green lung for a coastal town that could easily become all arcade halls and fish and chips. It's a nature reserve, so don't expect fairground rides or fancy facilities - this is about walking through woodland and spotting whatever birds and small mammals the East Midlands feels like showing you on the day.

The paths are manageable rather than challenging, threading through trees and open grassland. You might see woodland warblers in spring, maybe a muntjac if you're lucky. It's the sort of place where you wander for an hour, breathe some air that isn't salty, then head back into town.
