Pantsaeson Hill

Standing at just over 200 metres, this unassuming peak south of Cardigan offers surprisingly rewarding views across the Teifi Valley and out towards Cardigan Bay. The walk up isn't particularly challenging - a steady climb through farmland that takes about 45 minutes from the nearest parking spot.

Families with older children will manage it fine, though the terrain can get boggy after rain. The summit itself is marked by a small cairn and provides a proper 360-degree panorama that takes in the coast near Mwnt and the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside.

What makes Pantsaeson Hill worth the effort is its relative obscurity. You're unlikely to encounter crowds here, even on sunny weekends. The peace and quiet, combined with those sweeping coastal views, make it a lovely spot for a picnic.

Allow a couple of hours for the round trip, including time to enjoy the summit. Early morning or late afternoon visits offer the best light for photography and cooler temperatures for the climb.
