Old Wash-house Ruins

The crumbling stone walls of what was once the community wash-house stand tucked away near Dunbar, a sobering reminder of how differently people did laundry two centuries ago. You're looking at the actual building where local women gathered to scrub clothes in communal troughs - backbreaking work that was nonetheless a social occasion, the one place where gossip could flow as freely as the water.

What remains isn't much, frankly. The structure is heavily ruined, so you need a bit of imagination to picture it in use. No interpretive panels, no visitor facilities.
