If you're staying at Warren Wood Country Park just up the road, or even Pevensey Bay Holiday Park, this works as a morning ramble before heading elsewhere. Allow an hour, maybe ninety minutes if you're the type who stops to identify every plant. Go early or late in the day when the light's better and you've got a proper chance of seeing wildlife.

The value is in what it actually is - a local nature reserve doing its job quietly. If you want spectacle and facilities, look elsewhere. But if you want to spend time in actual Sussex habitat without the tourist machinery, it's worth the visit.
