Odeon

The Odeon in Telford is a straightforward multiplex cinema - nothing fancy, but that's rather the point. You get standard screens showing current releases, decent popcorn, and the kind of comfortable seats that actually recline if you're lucky. It's the sort of place where families go on rainy afternoons, couples grab a film on date night, and locals catch blockbusters without driving an hour away.

For a park holiday in Shropshire, this matters more than you'd think. If you're staying at Irongorge Camping or Ted's Farm Caravan and Camping Site nearby, and the weather turns grim - which it will - having a cinema within reach takes the pressure off. Kids can burn an hour or two watching something loud and colourful while you dry out your tent. Worfe Camping sits close enough that it's viable too.

The cinema itself isn't a destination in its own right. You go because you want to see a film, not because you want to see the Odeon. But that's fine. It serves its purpose well: clean screens, reasonable ticket prices if you book online, and enough choice that you're not stuck watching something dire.
