Oakwood Park Lakes

Two lakes spread across the Oakwood Park estate just outside Brandon, and they're absolutely worth a wander if you're staying in the area. The water draws you in - proper peaceful, with paths that loop around both sides so you can pick your route depending on how much walking you fancy.

It's the kind of place where you'll spot waterfowl messing about, families feeding ducks (bring proper bread alternatives), and the occasional angler setting up for the afternoon. The lakes themselves are well-maintained, and the surrounding parkland feels genuinely quiet - a bit of a relief if you've been doing the tourist thing in Norwich or further afield.
