North Hill

The walk up North Hill from Honiton is a proper leg-stretcher, but the payoff's worth it. On a clear day you can see well beyond the immediate patchwork of Devon farmland. This is walker territory, really. Families with older kids would manage it fine, though toddlers might struggle with the ascent. The whole outing - walk up, a breather at the summit, walk back down - takes a couple of hours depending on pace. There's no café or facilities at the top, so bring water and something to eat if you're stopping for a proper rest.
