It's a functioning members' club with grass and hard courts, the sort of place where people take their tennis seriously rather than just lob balls about on holiday.

You'll need to check their website first - membership rules vary, and casual visitors aren't always welcome at traditional clubs like this one. That said, if you're a keen player and your holiday park can arrange access or if you're a member elsewhere with reciprocal rights, it's a solid spot to maintain your game. The courts are well-maintained, and there's proper club infrastructure rather than the dodgy municipal setups you find in some market towns.

It's not a draw in itself. You wouldn't plan a week around playing here. But if you're a tennis player staying in the area and want somewhere decent to practise, it beats nothing. Nantwich itself is a charming old market town with proper timber-framed buildings and decent pubs, so you could combine a morning on court with lunch in town. Allow two hours if you're playing, then head off to explore the surrounding Cheshire countryside. Worth a call ahead rather than turning up, though.
