Mid Calder War Memorial Arch

There's a rather imposing stone arch standing in Mid Calder, just outside Newbridge, that most people drive straight past without a second glance. Worth bundling into a broader exploration of the area rather than making a dedicated trip, but if you're interested in local history and war memorials, you won't regret the short detour. The Scottish Lowlands have plenty of these markers dotted about - this one's as genuine as they come.
