A proper nature reserve tucked away on the outskirts of Kettering, Meadow Road Park is the sort of place that locals know about and visitors stumble upon by accident. Walking the paths here, you get the sense that someone's done the work to keep it wild - scrubby grassland, patches of woodland, the occasional pond catching the light. It's nothing dramatic, no grand vistas or rare birds to tick off, but that's rather the point.
