MCBC (Nuneaton)

The Methodist Central Hall in Nuneaton is one of those Victorian chapels that stops you mid-stride when you round the corner. It works best as part of a broader potter around the area rather than a standalone pilgrimage. History buffs with an interest in Methodist heritage or Victorian architecture will find it worthwhile. Families might find it a bit solemn unless the kids are already chapel enthusiasts.

If you're basing yourself at one of the caravan parks nearby - Atherstone Stables, Lime Tree, or Nightingales Rustic Camping are all within a reasonable drive - the MCBC makes a perfectly decent rainy-day cultural break. Combine it with a walk around Atherstone town centre itself, which has enough character to justify the detour. Don't expect fireworks, but do expect solid, honest Victorian nonconformist architecture.
