Lochend Woods

The loch itself sits peaceful enough in winter, though midges can be savage in summer - locals don't bother between June and August unless there's a decent wind. There aren't viewing platforms or interpretation boards, just trees, water, and the occasional bird that makes you grateful you brought binoculars.
