Walk into Little Allan's Plantation and you're immediately surrounded by tall conifers that block out most of the sky. It's the kind of place that feels properly secluded even though Richmond is barely three miles away. The plantation is essentially a managed forest - all orderly rows of mature trees with a network of walking paths threading through them. You won't find viewpoints or visitor facilities here; what you get is peace and good air.
