The hockey pitch at Lisnagarvey sits just outside Hillsborough, a proper working sports club rather than a tourist attraction in the traditional sense. If you've got kids who play hockey or you're keen on watching a match, it's worth knowing it's there - the club runs teams across various age groups and standards, so there's usually something happening during the season.

What you get depends entirely on when you visit. Turn up on a match day and you'll catch some genuine competitive play in a friendly, local atmosphere. Off-season or between fixtures? There's not much to see, to be honest. This isn't the sort of place you'd build a day around unless someone in your party is actually involved with the club.
