You'll find everything from big cats and primates to reptiles and birds in carefully planned enclosures that don't feel cramped or depressing. The whole thing takes two to three hours if you're moving at a decent pace, which makes it ideal when you've got kids flagging or don't fancy a full day out. Families with under-tens get the most from it - the walkthroughs are engaging without being patronising, and there's usually something happening on the keeper talk schedule. Older kids might find it a touch understaffed on interpretation, but the animals themselves rarely disappoint.
