The Light Pyramid is one of those landmarks that divides opinion properly. It's located just outside Milton Keynes, which means if you're camping at Gullivers Campsite or Adventurer's Village Milton Keynes, you're essentially on its doorstep.

It's really a viewpoint and photo spot rather than a destination you'll spend hours at. The structure itself is the attraction - climb up inside it for views across Northamptonshire, or simply walk around it and work out whether you think it's a piece of modern art or an eyesore depending on the light and your mood that day. Honestly, it's worth a quick detour if you're staying nearby, especially if you've got kids who'll find the geometric weirdness interesting for ten minutes.

I'd recommend going at golden hour if you can manage it - late afternoon or early morning makes the steel gleam properly. It's free to access as far as I can tell, though facilities are minimal. Budget twenty minutes maximum unless you're the type who likes to sit and contemplate architecture. If you're based at one of the Milton Keynes campsites, you could combine this with a proper walk around Cosgrove Park or The Old Dairy Farm area for something more substantial. The Pyramid alone won't fill an afternoon, but it's a decent Instagram moment on your way somewhere else.
