The fields around Studley, just outside Alcester, tell a story that most visitors to Warwickshire completely miss. Liberty Fields marks a landscape shaped by centuries of use - agricultural heritage running deep through the red soil, with walking routes that let you actually feel the lie of the land rather than just pass through it.

What you're looking at here is proper countryside, the kind that rewards a proper walk. There are no theme park trappings or visitor centres, which means either you'll find it genuinely rewarding or you'll wonder why you've come at all. The terrain is gentle enough for families, though younger kids might flag after an hour or so without a specific destination in mind.

The fields themselves are free to access, and you can spend a couple of hours picking your own route depending on the season and what takes your fancy.
