Law Hill

Law Hill rises sharp and sudden from the landscape north of Perth, commanding proper views across the Tay Valley and beyond. Walkers will find this one genuinely rewarding without needing to block out a full day. It's the kind of spot where you pop up, catch your breath, take in the view, and head back down. Families with reasonably energetic kids will manage it fine - nothing technical, just a grind uphill. The less enthusiastic might find the return leg a bit wearing on the knees.

Scone Camping and Caravanning Club Site sits just four miles away, making Law Hill a logical morning excursion if you're based there. Perth itself has a couple of other caravan parks within easy reach if this one's full. There's no admission fee - it's a walk-up, walk-down situation. Go early if the weather looks decent, because cloud can roll in quickly and flatten the whole experience. Midweek mornings are quietest. Worth the detour? Absolutely, if you're in the area. Don't expect a long expedition, but the payoff is real.
