The view from Ketch Viewpoint, a short drive south of Worcester, pulls you up short. On a clear day you're looking out across the Severn Valley towards the Malvern Hills - that long, craggy ridge that dominates this part of Worcestershire. It's the sort of vantage point that makes sense once you've driven up to it, though getting there involves a bit of local knowledge or a decent map.

This isn't a honeypot attraction with facilities and crowds. It's simply a place to stop, step out of the car, and absorb the landscape. Good for walkers planning routes across the area, or anyone spending time at one of the nearby parks - Peachley Caravan and Camping Park is barely five miles away - and wanting to get their bearings. You could easily spend twenty minutes here, maybe longer if you've brought a picnic and the weather's decent.

The Malvern Hills themselves, visible from here, are worth the trip if you're staying locally. But Ketch Viewpoint works best as a quiet pause rather than a destination in its own right. Families might find it a bit underwhelming if they're expecting something with more going on, though it beats sitting in another gift shop. Free, naturally. Go early in the day for the clearest light.
