Hucksteep Wood

Walk into Hucksteep Wood near Battle and you're stepping into proper old Sussex woodland - the kind where the trees have been here longer than anyone's been counting. The woodland paths wind through broadleaf trees and offer the sort of quiet that's hard to find anywhere near a town. You won't find facilities or interpretation boards, which is either brilliant or annoying depending on what you're after.
