Hill of Greenwood

The walk up to Greenwood's summit is straightforward enough - nothing too gnarly, just a steady climb through moorland with views that open up as you gain height. Keith sits at the base of things, making this a natural stop if you're touring Aberdeenshire's castles and distilleries.

You're looking at maybe an hour to the top if you're not dawdling, probably less if you're fit. The peak itself isn't high enough to feel remote, but that's rather the appeal - you get proper Highland views without needing special kit or an early start.
