Hadleigh United Reformed Church

Built in 1869, it's one of those churches you walk past a dozen times before actually stepping inside, which would be a shame because the interior is genuinely peaceful.

Families doing a park holiday at nearby Polstead Country Park - which is lovely for walking - could easily slot this in as a fifteen-minute detour if they're passing through Hadleigh. The town itself isn't massive, but it's a pleasant enough stop on a Suffolk ramble, and the church gives you a genuine sense of how these smaller market towns developed their own religious character. Not a wow moment, but a proper one.
