Grantham Christian Fellowship

The Fellowship sits quietly on a Grantham backstreet, the sort of place you'd walk past without a second glance unless someone had sent you there. It's an active evangelical church rather than some medieval pile - modern, unpretentious, focused on what happens inside rather than architectural grandeur. Sunday services draw a genuine congregation, and the welcome is warm without being pushy, which counts for something.

This isn't a heritage attraction. You're not coming for stained glass or Victorian stonework. What you get instead is a snapshot of contemporary faith practice in the East Midlands - useful if you're interested in how communities actually worship today, or if you've got family connections to the congregation. The space is functional and well-maintained, but there's no particular reason to detour here unless you're either a practising member or doing some kind of research.

Best approached as part of exploring Grantham proper rather than a standalone destination. The town itself has proper heritage (the medieval church of St Wulfram is far more visually interesting if you're into that sort of thing), and if you're staying at Wagtail Country Park nearby, you've got a decent base for exploring the market town without feeling like you're going anywhere particularly special.

Worth knowing: admission and hours aren't publicly listed, so check ahead before turning up. Sundays are the obvious time to visit if you want to experience it as intended. Don't expect a tourist attraction - this is a working church community.
