A stretch of grassland and woodland that's been quietly getting on with the job of being useful for decades, the GEC Recreation Ground sits just outside Lutterworth and makes for a solid morning's walk if you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks. It's the sort of place where locals know the paths better than any signage will tell you, and on a decent day it's genuinely pleasant - open fields, a bit of tree cover, proper space to stretch your legs without fighting through crowds.

What you're getting is straightforward: a nature reserve where dog walkers and the occasional birdwatcher come to do their thing. The grassland attracts the usual suspects - rabbits, the odd pheasant - and if you're into spotting birds, bring binoculars. It won't blow your mind, but it's the sort of place that settles you after a few days of driving between attractions. Families with young kids will find enough room to let them run about, though there's not much in the way of structured activities.
