Gathering

Deep in the Forest of Dean, this sculptural installation consists of a circle of wooden figures that seem to be in perpetual conversation. Kevin Atherton's 'Gathering' creates an oddly moving tableau - dozens of carved human forms, each unique but unified in their circular arrangement. Walking among them feels like interrupting an ancient meeting.
