The woodland at Foreign Park offers a proper escape if you're staying around Henley-in-Arden and fancy stretching your legs without driving far. It's a working forest rather than a manicured country estate - the kind of place where you'll find yourself on quiet paths with actual trees towering overhead, not ornamental specimen planting. The walking is straightforward enough for families with older kids, though younger ones might struggle with muddy stretches after rain.

You'll get the most out of it if you're after a couple of hours' rambling rather than a full day's outing. The forest floor is uneven in places, and the canopy means it can feel quite dark even midday - worth noting if you're bringing small children who need proper light. The appeal is in the simplicity: no gift shop, no café, just woodland doing what woodland does.
