English Heritage - Binham Priory

The ruins of Binham Priory stand quietly in Norfolk countryside east of Fakenham, and they're genuinely worth a detour if you're staying at Old Brick Kilns or Pinewoods. What remains is the west front of the church - a proper Gothic facade with a rose window that still commands attention despite seven centuries of weathering. Built in the 12th century, this was a significant Benedictine monastery, and you can read the architectural ambitions in what's left standing.
