Dogs Run 4 Fun

Dogs Run 4 Fun is exactly what it says on the tin - a dedicated off-lead space where your dog can properly burn off some energy without you having to worry about them bolting off into traffic or harassing sheep. It's located near Leeds, making it a handy stop if you're based at Olicana Park or anywhere else in West Yorkshire and your pooch is going stir-crazy.

The whole point here is freedom. Your dog gets to run, chase, socialise with other dogs, and generally act like a dog rather than being kept on a lead the whole time. There's nothing fancy about it - no agility equipment or training classes - just open space and the chance to let them loose. Most visits take an hour or so, depending on how knackered your dog gets.

This is absolutely essential if you're travelling with a dog that's got the zoomies. Even a day trip from a nearby caravan park will do wonders for your sanity and your dog's temperament. Just don't expect to get much peace - you'll be keeping an eye on them the whole time, which is the whole idea really.

Bring a ball if your dog will fetch. Bring water. Bring patience if there are lots of other dogs about. Call ahead to confirm opening hours and whether there's a charge - details weren't showing up online when we checked. Worth the trip if your dog needs to run.
