About Doddalies Pond
Families with young children will find it manageable - no drama getting here, easy paths around the edges - though there's not much to actually do beyond watch the water and spot birds. Older kids might manage twenty minutes before restlessness sets in. If you're into wildlife or you photograph birds seriously, you'd be better off checking out the Broads further east.
There's no entrance fee that I'm aware of, and you can come and go as you please. Allow an hour if you're making a proper morning of it with a walk, less if you're just popping over from the glamping site. The best time is early morning or dusk when the wildlife's more active and the light's decent. Spring and autumn tend to be more interesting than dead summer when everything goes quiet. In winter the paths can get muddy, so decent boots are sensible. It's pleasant enough on a blue-sky morning, but I wouldn't shift plans around to fit it in.
