If you're based at Esholt Holiday Caravan Park or Clarion Lodge Campsite just outside Ilkley, it's a natural half-day outing.

The beauty of Cuddy Hill is it slots neatly into a wider walk around the area. You can combine it with exploring Ilkley Moor itself, or use it as a warm-up before tackling some of the longer ridge walks in the valley. Moor Valley Country Park is within striking distance if you want to break up a caravan park holiday with something more structured. Go early on weekends - the paths get busier as the day goes on, and the views are sharper before the light gets hazy.
