The experience works best if you arrive curious rather than phobic - this isn't a petting zoo, it's a proper look at creatures most of us only see in nightmares.

If you're camping at Kingsdown Camping, it's a quick drive over and makes a solid rainy-day option when the beach inevitably gets too windy. Ham Hideaway Glamping is further afield but still accessible for a morning visit before heading elsewhere in the area.
