Creag a' Mhadaidh

The walk up Creag a' Mhadaidh is a proper hill rather than a mountain, which makes it ideal if you're based near Fort Augustus and fancy something more substantial than a stroll but don't want to commit to a full Highland peak. The ascent isn't technically difficult, though it's steep enough to work up a sweat, and the views across Loch Ness and towards Ben Nevis reward the effort.
