Coton Spinney

A small woodland pocket near Lutterworth that punches above its weight if you're after a proper forest walk without the crowds. Coton Spinney is the sort of place locals know and outsiders miss - a handful of acres where you can actually hear birdsong instead of car parks and gift shops.

The woodland itself is modest but well-kept, with paths threading through mature trees and the kind of undergrowth that makes you feel like you've stepped away from the East Midlands entirely. It's the go-to for a brisk walk rather than an all-day expedition.
