History types and photographers will find it more rewarding than families with restless kids - there's no interaction, no entertainment value beyond looking and appreciating.

Allow ten minutes maximum, twenty if you're the sort who photographs everything. Best visited during daylight hours, obviously. Suffolk's full of these small, understated surprises; Cockfield's sign is genuinely one of the better ones.
