Castle Cary itself is walkable enough, but if you're based at Tall Trees Glamping just up the road, this makes an easy morning stroll before settling in for lunch somewhere local. It's the kind of detour that feels worthwhile without eating into your actual holiday time. The church works best as part of exploring the town rather than as a destination in itself, though that's not a criticism - it's exactly what you want from a village church.
