Church Coppice

Honestly, that's when it's best - the light through the trees is something else, and you won't be tripping over school groups. Winter reveals the structure of the place, all bare branches and forest floor.

This isn't a destination with facilities or visitor centres. There's no tea room, no car park attendant. You park up, you walk, you leave. That's the appeal.
