Stamford Bridge sits in a corner of West London that most visitors rush past without looking twice. But if you're even halfway interested in football, the Chelsea museum and stadium tour delivers more than you'd expect. You walk around the pitch where thousands have roared, stand in the tunnel players use, peek into the dressing rooms. It's the sort of place that feels properly significant if you care about the sport, and frankly a bit hollow if you don't.

The tour takes a couple of hours depending on how long you linger at displays. Photography's allowed in most areas, which matters if you're here to prove you went. The museum covers Chelsea's history from 1905 onwards - plenty of silverware on display, which does something to most fans even if their team never won anything. Weekdays are quieter than match days, obviously. If there's a fixture on, you'll struggle to get in at all.

It's not a day out on its own. But if you're based at Lovat Parks nearby and fancy a London trip, this breaks up the drive time well enough. The surrounding area is residential Chelsea - nice enough for a walk and a coffee, though there's nothing else stopping you here long. Real football heads will want to come; casual visitors might find it a bit narrow. Allow half a day if you're doing this properly.
