Dover's Catholic Church sits a stone's throw from the town centre, and it's worth a quick visit if you're passing through on your way to the white cliffs. The building itself is modest Victorian architecture - nothing that'll knock your socks off from the outside, but step inside and there's real peace to be found. The interior has that quiet, contemplative quality you get in older churches, with decent stained glass and a genuine sense of community use rather than museum piece.

This isn't a destination attraction, to be honest. You're looking at twenty minutes maximum, probably less if you're not particularly interested in religious architecture. But if you're staying at Kingsdown Camping and fancy a bit of cultural contrast to the usual seaside park routine, it's an easy drive into Dover town. Pairs well with a walk around Dover's harbour area or a proper look at the castle up on the hill.

Go on a weekday morning if you want it quiet. Weekends can get busier, and you might find it closed for services - give them a ring first if you're making a special trip. Families won't find much to occupy children here beyond "look at the pretty windows", so save it for when the kids are old enough to appreciate a bit of calm, or skip it entirely if your park holiday is meant to be wall-to-wall activity.
