Carnlough Methodist Church

The small white-painted Methodist chapel sitting just above Carnlough's main street is more charming than you'd expect from a rural church. Built in the 19th century, it's got that austere Victorian plainness inside - wooden pews, high ceiling, simple altar - which somehow makes the space feel more contemplative than flashier places of worship.

You're not going to spend hours here, and it's not the sort of attraction you'd drive across the country for. But if you're staying at Ocean View Pods nearby or exploring the Carnlough area around Ballymena, popping in takes five minutes and gives you a proper sense of what faith meant to this small coastal community. The real appeal is the setting - you get views across to the Glens and the sea, and the churchyard itself is worth a wander if the weather's decent.
