Camp Hill

The walk up Camp Hill rewards you with one of those rare Wiltshire views that actually justifies leaving the car. It's not a mountain - let's be clear about that - but the summit gives you proper sightlines across the Chalke Valley and down towards Salisbury, and on a clear day the cathedral spire pops up on the horizon like someone's placed it there deliberately.

It's particularly good for anyone who finds the tourist treadmill around Stonehenge tiresome - Camp Hill feels genuinely off the radar by comparison.
