Calf Rock

Scrambling up the rocky outcrop above Burnham-on-Sea's mudflats reveals why locals call this spot Calf Rock - the weathered limestone formation does indeed resemble a resting calf when viewed from certain angles. The viewpoint sits on the edge of the Mendip Hills, offering sweeping views across the Bristol Channel towards Wales on clear days.
