There's a pub nearby, a chance to watch the water traffic, and if you're staying at one of the caravan parks within a few miles - Huntingdon Boathaven is closest at under three miles - it's an easy evening stroll to clear your head. The marina itself is free to wander around, though parking details are worth checking if you're not camping locally. Allow twenty minutes to half an hour unless you're settling in with a drink. Families with young children might find it a bit low-key; walkers and anyone looking to actually sit with a cup of tea and a book will find it rather lovely. The Ouse Path runs through here, so it slots nicely into a longer riverside ramble if you've got the energy. It's not a destination in itself, but as a break from the caravan park routine or a peaceful morning walk before exploring Huntingdon's market town character, it does the job well. Go early or late to avoid any weekend boat activity if you prefer quiet.
