Bridge of Allan Library

The library sits on the main street in Bridge of Allan, a small spa town just north of Stirling, and it's the sort of place you'd walk past without thinking twice unless you actually need something. Which is precisely the point - it's a working community library, not a tourist attraction dressed up as one.

Inside, you'll find the usual setup: shelves of books, computers you can use, a quiet reading area, and staff who actually know what they're talking about. If you're staying at Witches Craig Caravan & Camping Park nearby and want to pick up something to read, or need to check email on a rainy afternoon, this is where you come. There's nothing fancy about it, and that's fine.

It's free to use, and opening hours are fairly standard - mornings and early afternoons, with extended Thursday evenings if that helps. Wednesday and Saturday mornings are shorter, which seems the wrong way round to my mind, but there we are.

Really, you'd only make a special trip here if you're genuinely interested in local heritage or looking for specific research materials about Stirling and the Lowlands. Otherwise, treat it as a fallback option on a wet day when the campsite feels a bit cramped. Not a destination in itself, but useful to know it's there.
